YELLOW PEAS

Yellow peas produce some of the highest yields within the pea types grown in the UK.

They generally stand well without lodging issues and quality is therefore usually good.

Some varieties differ in seed size, and as with other pea types, this will affect both the sowing rate and suitability for specific end uses.

Yellow peas offer high yields compared with other pea types, and Kameleon is the highest yielding white (yellow) pea on the Descriptive List. It has performed consistently for several years.

It has a large seed size, making it ideal for the splitting market.

With no particular weaknesses, Kameleon is a sound choice for growers choosing this type of pea.
