MILLET

Millet is a small spherical beige seed which primarily goes into the wild bird food market for supplementary feeding. It is a short-life C4 grass species, being spring sown in May and combined in September.
It is drought tolerant so performs well in dry seasons and is a good option for light land. Wet, cold summers can cause issues, pushing harvest back into October. It is a lower input crop with minimal need for herbicide application after late spring, and no need for disease control after seed treatment.

Varieties vary upon availability so please get in contact to discuss current options.
