MAPLE PEAS
Maple peas are brown to light tan in colour. Sometimes dimpled, primary usage is for
pigeon feed but some types are used for traditional food and the sprouting market.
We handle semi-leafless and fully leaved types of maple pea. Non semi-leafless types may lodge in the field due to weaker agronomics at full maturity. This can sometimes be challenging on end quality, however we can meet client demand by carefully selecting our crops.
Mantara is a brown seeded maple pea used for a wide range of end uses but primarily utilised for the pet/pigeon feed market, due to the unique grain characters.
A short strawed variety with moderate straw stiffness offering moderate to good agronomic characteristics.
